Imaging & Performance
The 20.4MP Live MOS sensor and TruePic IX processor deliver impressive speed and clarity for both stills and video. Capture fast action with up to 30 fps burst shooting in Pro Capture mode or enjoy smooth tonal detail across a wide ISO range up to 25600.
The advanced 121-point hybrid autofocus system combines phase- and contrast-detection points—all cross-type—for exceptional accuracy. Enhanced Face and Eye Detection AF, a new Starry Sky AF mode, and customizable AF area settings give you reliable focus in any scenario.
Image Stabilization
The OM-5 features powerful 5-axis in-body image stabilization, providing up to 6.5 stops of compensation (or 7.5 stops when paired with select stabilized lenses). It corrects for vertical, horizontal, and rotational motion, ensuring sharp handheld results even in low light, telephoto, or long exposure situations.
Professional Video Features
Record in both DCI 4K (24p) and UHD 4K (30p) using the full sensor width. The camera supports OM-Log400 for greater dynamic range and flexibility in post-production. Audio can be captured via the built-in stereo mic or an external microphone for higher quality sound. Time-lapse recording is also available in up to 4K UHD resolution, and a new Vertical Video mode offers 9:16 recording for social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, to go into effect on August 30, 2018, which changes the information that is required in or on Proposition 65 warnings.
